This intimate 21+ event has limited tickets—bring your fall spirit and soak in the season!

For a closer cranberry bog experience, upgrade to “In the bog” and step into the floating cranberries with friends, fully outfitted in waders for a hands-on harvest adventure.

ABOUT THE IN THE BOG EXPERIENCE
ADD-ON

Step a little closer to the cranberry harvest with our in the bog add on including 30 full minutes wading among the floating cranberries. We allow extra time to get into your waders and settle in, so your cranberry bog experience is relaxing and fun.

To ensure a personal, hands-on experience, we limit each session to 25 guests—so everyone can fully immerse themselves in the berries. Please check in 15 minutes early for your time slot.

Our events are rain or shine. We would only cancel because of severe weather conditions.

We are a working farm harvesting cranberries for food and respectively request all pets stay home. Please do not leave pets in cars in the parking area.

People often ask us about bog spiders, specifically the wolf spiders. The viral social media claims of being swamped by spiders during harvest are a myth. While the cranberry bogs naturally have important helpful creatures including spiders and insects, they are generally  small and will not bother you. While in the cranberry bogs the waders help provide additional barriers. We find most people that come to our cranberry bog harvest events say they were surprised how little they were bothered. Cranberry bog roads and hard packed sand and dirt. We suggest supportive footwear such as sneakers or boots. Please consider the weather that day as well as the road and surrounding areas can get muddy.

Our harvest events are non-refundable. On occasion, we can transfer your ticket to another person or credit you for another year.

We have cranberry themed, locally made items such as soap, candles, jelly, chocolates, and more. In the fall we have fresh Benson’s Pond cranberries for sale. Our store takes cash, major credit cards, Apple Pay and Venmo.

We will provide waders or hip boots but recommend bringing a change of clothes in the rare chance you do get any water in your waders. We also recommend knee high socks for waders as you take off your shoes when you use waders. We do have socks available for purchase in the event you forget some or want a special Benson’s Pond pair to remember your cranberry  bogging experience.

Our bog roads are hard packed dirt and wheelchairs can get around relatively easily.  We have a golf cart to assist  people around if needed.. We also have an ADA portable restroom. The barn, store and separator areas are handicap accessible.

The bog water is fresh water from our water reservoir or local waterway and will be cool. Please look up the weather for Middleboro, MA before your visit and dress accordingly. Layers are always a good idea. Our tours and events are rain or shine. The waders can help to keep you warmer and dry.

Our in the bog experiences are great photo ops. Your waders do have an internal pocket you can store your phone as you make your way into the bog. People sometimes bring their phones in water proof bags or cases. You are welcome to bring additional photo equipment but we are not responsible for any damage to the equipment.
